Carefree Singers Beckenham

Carefree Singers will entertain you!

During 2016 we have been busy entertaining our friends at the Methodist Church Beckenham in aid of their restoration fund  and also at the Focus group at St John's Church Eden Park Avenue. Our annual concert this year was held in October at St John's when we raised over £1000 for Myeloma UK. We have presented Christmas events at Coloma Court and Durham House.

We are now preparing for our Summer Concert at St John's Eden Park Avenue on 1st July 2017. As yet, we haven't decided which charity to support but watch this space!  We would love to see you there, so please see the Events page for more information.

We are currently recruiting basses, so if you would like to join us please contact through this website.

The Carefree Singers were formed in 2003 by local singing teacher, Susan Garrett.  In 2009 Anne Lee became our Musical Director and is still with us today, encouraging us to sing to the best of our ability and to be happy within this harmonious group. Our theme song, 'Rhythm of Life' sums up the atmosphere in this group, currently comprising of four men and nineteen ladies.

We meet between 10am and noon on Thursday mornings during term time. Our rehearsal home is the upstairs hall at Beckenham Methodist Church, Bromley Road.

We organise and perform concerts in St John's Church Eden Park Avenue Beckenham in aid of local charities and good causes, usually once or twice a year.  These are very well attended and raise a large amount of money for our nominated charities, as well as providing enjoyment for all performers. We also visit local care homes where we are uplifted by the appreciation and participation of our audiences.
